I love the weather and have always been interested in it. To me, the creation of incredible storms and the patterns of heat, wind, fronts, and pressure systems in absolutely incredible, especially since many of these things still baffle humans!
I want to know: does anybody share my interest? Any other weather buffs out there? Or, some interesting story or fact about the weather?
Here it is still... Wait what was that? Oh yes. HOT!!!! It was like 115 on Tuesday and Wednesday but today it was about 110. So fairly cooler and had cloud cover this morning.
I hate when it gets to hot because you can't do anything outside.
Yeah im sorry about that. But I think I live far enough to avoid the storm surge, the wind will be a problem but my house is short so that's a plus. The bad part is there is a creek behind my house. It could flood but my backyard goes down hill and the creek is at the bottom. It will kill alot of grass, but the house will be fine. The basement might get a little wet though. I can explain more of my house if necesary. So what do u guys think?
Good news, nyc is basically being shut down. All the bridges and tunnels will be closed tomorrow and Sunday morning. The people who live in new York I think they r being evacuated right now.

The MTA will shut down transit, and the city bridges are going down. But I think the others will stay. And only the people in places like rockaway and some places in manhattan and long island are being evacuated. Or are at least mandatory. I'm going to stay though. I'll get lots of rain, and maybe a few broken windows, possibly lose of power and water but i'm staying. Because that's about as bad as it can get for me.
The storm is supposed to miss me, though I suppose we'll still get a lot of rain. And my uncle was supposed to be flying to Newark right as Irene will be in... Newark.
I live outside of Boston, so I'm gonna get hit. Fortunately for me, the storm is gonna be a lot smaller than it is now when I get hit, so I'm not gonna evacuate.
For anyone who does have to evacuate though, I wish you the best of luck, and may you be able to go back as soon as possible.
Oh, yeah, and right now, there is a little cloud cover, high 80's, not much wind.
Hurricane Irene has made a brief landfall in North Carolina.
It should move back over water soon (note that this is all referring to the EYE of the storm, not the entirety of the storm). Then, it will move toward New York, Philadelphia, and Boston.
Heat warnings all week. Right now it is 112 I believe. Usually it's 98 this time of year. Gosh I hate this desert. Way to hot to do anything. Few small clouds out but not anything to cool down the weather
