Well, I don't think it's so much the homosexual relations there so much as the notion of rape and inconsiderate promiscuity, hmm? I can think of much more consistent readings that don't single out homosexuality.

Well, let me say this; Why does anyone care if there are homosexuals? I mean, if god hates them, he will destroy them, right? Or be eternally damned in the underworld. So all you religeous people out there shoud be happy, because God gave them there punishment.
On the other hand, All the Homosexuals can have a great time while they live, and if god is not against homosexuals, tahn they will be fine. So, all you people who keep on quoting the Bible, in the end, homosexuas will get what they deserve. Weather they deserve something good or bad, We'll just have to wait and see.
P.S. Asherlee is still alive, so I doubt God hates homosexuals.
Well, if he despises them, than hey will get what's coming to them, and if he doesn't despise them, than that's nice for them. Do not try to do gods work (A.K.A. kill/maim/get rid of/damn to the underworld) about the homosexuals. Leave that to him. But, still, Even though I don't believe in God, if he gave us free will, he should have seen what was coming, and if he hates Homosexuals so much, he would have not given us free will.
So, my conclusion is this: God does not care weather someone is homosexual or not, rather, he cares that the person is a good person. Asherlee: Have a nice life, good luck with your partner, and try not to let a religeous fanatic clup you to death with a cross.
I'm not a "Moral Absolutist" I just think that its a way to live. Not to say something thats frowned upon isn't supposed to be an imperfect way to live.

Anyway, thats why it should just not be liked, accepted, or in co-existense with society. Theres a reason somethings aren't right... Also, he gave us free will as a test on earth to see if we could follow his ways.

God despises no one, he despises what they do because he has condemned it. Being G@Y isn't a race. Being G@Y isn't skin color [Something you can't change, or stop doing] But seeing it as God has said it [Which is truth, to someone religious] would end up showing its wrongness.
How is being g.ay something you can change? I really don't think you can help being attracted to members of the same sex, just like heterosexuals can't help being attracted to members of the opposite sex. If you mean to say that what defines a homosexual is the act of intercourse with someone of the same sex, then I think that fundamentally changes the definition. Just because someone stops having sex, doesn't mean they stop being a homosexual, just like a heterosexual would remain so even if they were chaste.
@ hojoko - I've been out for a number of years and I actually haven't had a religious fanatic approach me about it, yet. Plus, I'm not going to let someone get me down. Religion is primitive and if you believe in God, it should be a personal relationship. Not what others say it should be. I like to bring up that society (I believe in Africa, I'll have to check), that practices homosexuality as a norm. They only come together to mate.
I'm not sure why so many people think that being g@y is a choice one makes, Moe.
okay, here's my view. in the Bible, it says marriage is supposed to be between 1 man and 1 woman. it also says that it is a sin to sleep with anyone who your not married to.
so therefore, homosexuality is bad because the Bible, which was written through men by God, says homosexuality is a sin, and if they burn in h-e-double-toothpicks it will sadden God, as each and every person is special to him and he loves them and doesn't want to see them suffer.
and if you don't believe in God, then think about this; the body of a human is designed for reproduction with the opposite gender.
and i don't believe this "oh i can't help being homosexual" stuff. it's bull. instincts for heterosexual reproduction are hardwired into your very DNA, so being homosexual is definitely your own decision(if you are homosexual).
what does god have too do with g@ys...doesnt really matter i geuss and i dont really care there are already miljards of pple that arent g@y so there is alot choice, just be glad your straight..well.. if you are straight...

Anyway, g_dawg that is a perfectly fine thing to believe, and personally I would (for the most part) agree, but this is a thread about a more broad discussion of homosexuality, and what you said is mainly just based on religion.
