My favorite animal is a wolf. It can bring down prey larger than itself by hunting in packs, and also an intelligent and noble animal.

I could never pick a favorite animal, but the pangolin would have to be high up there. What is a pangolin? Well...

A close second is that type of octopus that can change it's color and texture.

A close third is the lyre bird which copies almost any sound it hears.

Because his name is Sheppard, which sounds like Shepherd and wolves are traditionally predators of sheep (the animals which shepherds... herd)?

My favourite animal is probably the Homo Sapien, they're so nifty and inventive and it's fun watching them scuttle about and live their lives, maybe I'm a little biased though.

You could also say that it can sense things underwater by using electroreceptors on its bill. That's pretty cool, too. Basically, platypodes are the weirdest things ever.

Octopi, they are so intelligent. They can change their shape and color to mimick other fish. Scientists say they will eventually (in the near future, I can't remember the exact date) match human intelligence.

The scorpion. For some reason we have no scorpion armatars, so I can't use one as my armatar. The scorpion is an arachnid with a poisonous tail and claws. Win.

Almost every Octopus can do it but this one octupus (i think)you mean can do it very well.
