I am preparing to make a game for a college project and want to base them on two others I have played.
The problem is I don't remember the names of the games or the sites I played them on, I know it was either here or game jolt.
BUT, I can describe them pretty well:
One was a pixel art one, you start by falling down a deep hole (or a cliff) once reaching the bottom you have to collect "gems" which give a "god-type" power. This god also talks to you now and then (only through text, the only sound is music i believe) Where you collect the gems goes across different terrain, like there is snow, forest, lava, underground etc. You also get power-ups making you jump higher, can kill animals, more life etc. to end the game you can climb up the farthest left wall to the top, or collect the gems to ride the beam form the god (but it turns out the god is evil)
ther other game is more "flash animation looking" it is mostly black and white and you are in a scientist lab. As you go through the game you read notes dropped on the ground, the notes that talk about an evacuation of the facility, that your family is dead (or in the city) and that the city will explode. It is mostly a platformer, and again you can get power-ups for higher jump, antigravity etc.
please if you have any idea let me know, I believe I would get more help from this site than yahoo answers
no, i actually realized that my descriptions fit that game pretty well, but the pixel game was more nature oriented (and even had a bigger frame size than KOLM
