Luigi would KILL Mario. All Mario can do is say MAMA MIA; when Luigi would be pwing him. Think about it. A fat plumber vs his taller, smarter, faster, more agile brother.

Definitely Mario since the games are MARIO and Luigi. Mario is the main character in almost all the games in the Mario series.

Considering that these plumbers use their own body weight to crush their foes, Luigi would win since he jumps higher. Hey, I'm not the one who decided so, it's the game mechanics!
Now if they could punch and all it'd be another story but basically, jump is all they had.

It depends on who is playing the game rather than how high they can jump. Really, in all Mario games you(or who ever is playing the game) would be playing as Mario, so you could just restart the game at the last point that you saved until you win. And I bet you're(I also bet you would've said 'your' instead of 'you're' gonna say: "We were talking about if Mario and Luigi were not in a video game". Well video games aren't real, because: 1. No one can jump as high as Mario and Luigi. 2. What mushrooms are red with eyes? 3. If you jumped into a block, would coins really come out? 4. What kind of animal is Bowser?(Actually, he's supposed to somewhat look like a turtle.)
You could go on and on with that list. Anyways, the point is that if they did fight, it would be in a video game, not real life. So you'd probably be playing as Mario, so Mario would win. Duh.

The only way to solve this, is to have the best Mario player and the best Luigi player have a 99 life match in the original Super Smash bros. In my opinion, Luigi would win.
