Quite honestly, I have no one favorite. Each game does something different(in terms of gameplay) and I like most of them. KH1 is a little more simple imo, KH2 is much more flashier, COM and Re:COM have that card battling system. haven't played BBS, so I can't comment there. The DS are more of side story so I don't really prefer those.

The first one quite easily ('tis on PS2). That was back when they didn't recycle levels and have an overly convoluted plot. The first one is very self-contained which probably makes it the best choice if you want to get a single one of those games.
Not to mention I find that it's more challenging and less of a button masher.
KH1 probably is the best and easiest to get into to; however, if you have Swap Magic and are willing to import from Japan, KH2 Final Mix is by far the best of them all.

When I started the game and had been playing on it for a while, I just didn't want to quit. I was stuck on the floor for hours and hours, just 'cause I liked the game soo much! I had a hard time with KH1 at first, 'cause I'm wasn't really a big video-gamer to start with but I got addicted and played ALOT!
Y'know, at first, I only tried KH out because I saw some FF characters ('cause I'm a huge FF-fan) and I thought the pictures/graphic was good but ****, I came to really love KH and the story. I love it how they mixed all the different stories from the Disney-movies into the game.
I hate how they ended the series and won't make anymore, or at least i dont think they will I loved the game it was awesome and really fun fun
What are you talking about? The series is far from over. KH3 is coming out in a year or two(which Nomura has said will end the Xehanort saga)and after KH3 they will be starting work on a new saga with a new villain but will be keeping Sora as the lead.

really thats really cool that there makin another game after KH3 im hoping they will make KH3 about secret ending in KH2 A Keyblade war would be fricken epic!!
