Story
You are suddenly awoken by a thorough chill that pulses through your body. Half-awake, you get out of bed and begin getting dressed. You finish, but then notice something strange: the sun isn't up, yet there is an eerie light filling your room.
You explore the rest of your house and find that you are alone. No family. You step outside. Shadowy mists are flowing everywhere, and disgruntling whispers can be heard from... somewhere. A pang of fear pierces your chest when you look around and see nothing. All that is visible in any direction more than 50 feet outside of your house is a roiling blackness.

About
This is a role-playing game set in a mysterious shadowy realm.

Gameplay
Up to 7 players will be accepted. Players will engage it battles with enemies that I determine. Players will request their actions to me during a battle, and I will do appropriate calculations. Players start at level 1, and will receive experience (XP) to level up for doing damage to enemies, defeating an enemy, and winning a battle (though there may be more).
Outside of battle, I will provide some guidance, but overall the players will request what to do. There are innumerable actions players can choose. When one player suggests an action, I will either post it for players to agree with or shoot down, and if a player consensus has already been reached, I will tell what happens as a result of the players' actions. If the players wish to separate and explore separately, that is fine, they need only request it. However, the hordes of enemies players encounter will NOT be weakened for a solo player.

sorry for double posting.

right click on a link, then open it in a new tab. i keep it open and if i close the page my mozilla firefox remembers the open tabs so i can open the closed pages with the remembered tabs. then i can check them for updates or so. its better and quicker than searching/tiping a link.

Sigh...

I thought this would be my weekend, guys. I truly did. But fate decreed otherwise. And government. That class is a thorn in my side. I bet as soon as second semester rolls around, I'll be able to get an update out every week, at least. That's how bad that class is with homework.

Oh, sorry for getting your hopes up by posting. And sorry for not putting anything worth your while reading in here. Just another apology, and one I feel like a jerk writing.

If you still believe me at all, know that I'm truly not blowing anyone off, though it may seem that way sometimes.

Perhaps sometime this week, or multiple times together, I will be able to work on a post.

@Blue Wings: No, no, I was unclear. Engaging attacks only allow for half the normal actions. Otherwise, for this and every battle, you have two and Sensei has four.

You only define one action, so I will have you do it twice.

@Sensei Bassami: You did not say *which* enemy to attack in your request, so it will be random.

Also, you can still upgrade your weapons. Though since you are in battle, each weapon upgrade will take two actions.]

[Whoops! You did! My bad. :P ]

You run from the desolate cliff, and are luckily not followed by any shadows of any kind. To be safe, you continue running, glancing back at the cliff every so often.

As you run, flecks of shadow seem to collect and disperse. Suddenly, a larger group of flecks forms something like a face that rushes and floats beside you as you run. Without warning, your are blasted back and to the ground by an unseen force.

When you get up, the face of shadow still hovers five feet from you, giggling wickedly.

The phantom's flames intensify so much that they begin curling up the walls of the invisible barrier. You feel the heat around you increase, but surprisingly, the phantom's face remains calm.

The phantom hovers back a few yards, next to a large boulder. After a couple seconds, a groan of pain comes from behind the boulder. Using some wicked form of magic, the phantom levitates a man out from behind the rock... The man turns his head toward you.

Your heart drops. The phantom you've taunted, teased, and irked has possession of Aspero, who is helpless.

Then, faintly, "Help... J-James... h-help..."

Now, the phantom drops Aspero, who moans, returns to the edge of the barrier, and smiles at you, daring you to try.

[you put "shocked" and "slippering" under a some of the foes... does that mean that they will be shocked or slip in the next turn? because you didnt put that on the first foe]
