Ok since someone else couldn't create this topic I did. First of all I would like by start saying I dislike the Westboro Baptist Church very much. They insult, invade privacy, and do some of the worst things possible to U.S. soldiers coming home and at their funerals. There beliefs are created off of a few scriptures that the Devil owns the World and we are all doomed. Luckily Anonymous hacked their website and showed them some sweet justice. Anonymous also said that they are professional trolls and that they said to bring it on.

I don't feel like looking for a source, as it'd be hard to find any credible studies done on how religion brainwashes (I think, I didn't really look, maybe it is easy) but, all anyone needs to do to see that is have an argument about god to see how brainwashed people can be by it. True not all are, but there are many who are severely brainwashed by it, the more you are, the more fanatic you get. Which could be said of anything I suppose, but it's pretty obvious with religion.

Dunno. I have no idea how many members they have, or if any of them have AIDs, I do know for sure however, that they are spreading hateful ideas and encouraging discrimination based on a 2000 year old book of sheepherder myths.

What are the qualifications to be a hate group? Don't these people fit that bill? There's got to be some way this isn't legal, and if it is, it really shouldn't be and that needs to change. I'm all for freedom of expression, but isn't protesting at a funeral just going too far?

What is so iffy about this is that you say this, but they think the same exact thing. You are fighting fire with fire, hate with hate, and it isn't going to get you anywhere. If you are allowed to voice this, then they are allowed to voice their hate as well.
