A lot of people believe it's capitalism. Some say communism. Is it both? Neither? Something completely different? Support your reasoning.

Historically, it's all about capitalism.
Ideally, I'd say it's all about communism.

If someone makes it work right, but we haven't seen that yet.

Communism is the best, but only if everyone involved is working.

So far, only capitalism has worked out.

In theory communism is the best, but in practice people in power get greedy. Capitalism should be the best, but our genius government kind of messed that up too.

Mmm, see people say communism is best, but is it fair training 7 years as a doctor to get paid the same as someone who trains one year for an office position?

Capitalism isn't much better in our current economic climate, but it too has potential.

Communism looks best (and works best) on paper. If you could get it to work in the proper and idyllic way it would be best. But, that doesn't happen in real life. Capitalism and a free market work fairly well but, there is much corruption. If we could combine these we would have an idyllic system.

I don't know about communism (I only saw it in paper so far), but I live in a capitalistic country. And things couldn't go worse.
I think that the problem is related to those people who should "organize" the whole system. And I thing this applies to communism as well.

It takes 4 years to become a doctor. 4-6 to specialize [Just saying ]

The issue is that communism defies human wishes. We want stuff. We are motivated by two things -- Our own personal satisfaction and the idea of knowing that hard work will reward us in the future.
Communism doesn't motivate you.
