But I realize there is some thread about an artist, but bands seem to get a different response then artists.....if that makes sense.

Thriving Ivory-They are not too popular, but sing good.
Eagles (Band) -They are somewhat popular, but not a lot...They rock though.

I love both of these bands. They both mean A LOT to me!

The Eagles were very popular and have two greatest hits filled with numerous great and famous songs (Hotel California, Life in the Fast Lane, Desperado, etc.). Plus, they are in the Rock and Roll hall of fame. They don't belong in a thread for bands no one's heard of.

I don't know if this band is incredibly unknown, but one I like is Family Force 5. They have sort of a techno/hard rock combo going, while at the same time being Christian.

i haven't really heard of any of these. i know lots of people know about owl city but i don't think many know that owl city is a one man band.

I know so many bands that are so unheard of, but to name a few: Pianos Become the Teeth, The Saddest Landscape, Defeater.

I don't hear a lot about Tech n9ne or Hollywood Undead.
But, I'm also not in school so have no idea how mainstream they are or not.
