In another thread I had two links, one to a professional players opinion (partially related to Battlefield 3), and one on a professional casters opinion (mostly related to Battlefield 3).
Both went against it. I am going against it and it's the main / only way to show what we want.
Then again, CoD will be bought as a reaction. I don't care, principles > entertainment, especially considering I have Bad Company 2, Starcraft II, Armies of Exigo, 9 Age of Empires games / expansions (including the 2 Age of Mythology spin-offs), Mass Effect 2, Fable 1 and League of Legends to look forward to.
And I conserve my money >.> No seriously, compared to other people I really do conserve my money and man that is kind of terrible.
It is very rare that weapons and such accessed from these special preorder deals will actually give players any real edge, though knowing the people who own this game they will probably eventually release all of this content to other players as DLC for extra profits. It's all about what will make the company the most money, and preordering the game guarantees that it will be purchased brand new instead of buying it used which gives more profits to the company selling the game(GameStop and such) instead of the ones who publish it(EA, Activision, etc.). This is all just a business thing, and not necessarily the developers choice. If you don't like it then well...there's not much you can say that is going to change it anyways sorry to say. The only thing the publishers are going to listen to is their sales margins, and so long as those stay high(which they will because gamers recently have all been turned into sheep for the publishers to herd and exploit for profit it seems) then they shall continue doing these sort of things regardless of how many angry posts and petitions you make. The only developers who seem to listen to their fans anymore are the ones who are not owned by their publishers(which should be to no surprise).
If you plan on boycotting the game anyways though good luck, as it probably still won't hurt the games profit margins regardless.
