The other day, I somehow incorporated the word 'new' into whatever I was talking about, and somebody said I was pronouncing it wrong. I had pronounced it 'nyoo', whereas others around us all said it 'noo'. Dictionary.com says both ways are correct. How do you pronounce it?

Or you could go with the good old fashioned "Not Old."

It is annoying to people sometimes and that is why it's fun.

Where I'm from (south England, everyone says it as nyoo, in fact I don't think I've ever even met someone who said it noo.

'Nyoo' sounds like someone is being sarcastic whenever I hear that.

It's all about noo.

well, I say it either way, it depends on if I have food in my mouth, have a cold anything that would impede my speech.

Whether it's "new" or "knew" or "dew" or "threw" or anything ending in "ew", I say it as if the "ew" is replaced by "oo". Although usually I say it "tew" fast for there to be a noticeable difference.

It's looking like 'noo' is the majority and only truly awesome people say 'knew'.
