I love the original! No one can EVER beat Robert Englund!!! NO ONE!! The Remake...PSH!! That Freddy is too fat, too slow, not stealthy at all, and doesn't have the personality down at all!!

[quote]I've never watched the original because I'm not a scary movie fan.[quote]

I hate scary movies...but in all of the movies..including Freddy vs. Jason..I only covered my eyes twice...I think it's awesome...not scary...but it sure gives me a rush!

If you had to cover your eyes in a "scary" movie, chances are, I'm not going to be watching it for 30+ years. '1000 Ways to Die' I find particularly gruesome, although 1 out of 11 deaths are funny. I wonder if 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' took an idea from thier "sources..."

If you do get a chance, play the game. It's not easy (I still haven't beat it,) but it will keep you entertained for a week or so.

I know, A Nightmare on Elm Street came first, but, 1000 Ways to Die has... "good" special effects. The whole concept is terrifying. Also, I do get scared easily. That's why it took me years to finish the PSX version of Final Doom. Also, the scene in Alien when the alien

was a little freaky, and that was made in... the 70's.

If you want to see messed up stuff in the 80's play the NES game Monster Party, or go to flyingomelette.com, and spare yourself some torture.

Back on topic, my friend said the same thing about being not scary, but when my mom saw it (the original, at my age) in theatres , whe was spooked for a while. I don't think it helped that later that week she had to watch the furnace in the house.

I don't think I've seen the remake of it, dunno if I want to. Most horror films that come out nowadays try too hard to appear real, while the story is terrible. For now, I prefer the older films.
