Hello, humans. I know for a fact that some true gamers have stayed on some kind of game for more than at least 2 hours. If you've ever played a game all night, let us know what game it was that had you up all night. If not, just let us know how long you were on the game.
This is my first topic post; I hope to see you guys/gals in the future.
me and my buds do a gaming night of every holiday (yes im in high skl)we are about 6 and 1 guy brings the console and its games the other guy brings the food and drink the other guy brings the handhelds etc. we go to the house with the best Tv's and pwn some **** we make a tournament for a game and you know the rest
I did it once. It was at my friends sleep over. We played Super Smash Brothers Melee all night. That game never gets old... unless you are playing alone.
Montezuma's Revenge (C64) King's Quest (the first one) XCOM: UFO Defense (PC) Myst Doom AND Doom II X-wing AND Tie Fighter Super Mario Brothers 2 The Legend of Zelda (pretty much all of them) Final Fantasy VII Resident Evil (the first one) Jumping Flash Serious Sam: The First Encounter (my first co-op all nighter) Everquest (about 40 or 50 all-nighters...no joke)
..and oddly enough I haven't really sat up all night playing games since I quit EQ. Maybe I've just gotten older but I tend to switch off around 2am no matter how much I'm enjoying what I'm doing. I gave up on my quest for the All 5-Star Cases achievement in LA Noire last night around 1:45.
It's been a long time but I did with the Saboteur. Well that's a lie, I couldn't sleep so at about 6am I gave up, got up and started playing. Brilliant game that didn't get much attention, basically Grand Theft Auto in German occupied France. Look it up, good game with an alright storyline.
I'll just quote myself from the halo thread a few months ago.
Once my brother and his friend did a halothon for charity. Alternating with me and my other brother, we played 52 hours straight of halo campaign. We played through halo: combat evolved, halo 2, halo 3, and halo ODST on co-op legendary. We raised almost 500$ which kind of sucks considering how painful it was. We streamed it live online but its not recorded. (we didn't play reach because it wasn't out yet)
I do it all the time with armor games playing my favorite games on here (distinct list on my profile.)
I've never managed a full 24 hours on here, but very close. It's easier to spend longer on here than consoles because there's a lot more to do - like talk to people, come to the forums etc.
I've pulled all-nighters all the time playing World of Warcraft. I'm so addicted to that game, I could literally play until I pass out.
Be careful, some people literally play until they die. The most well known of these cases was a Korean fellow who played Starcraft for 3 days straight, and died immediately thereafter.
Most harrowing all-nighter: the speed run in Doukutsu Monogatari. The first time took me all night, because it is so difficult.

Wow. I knew Starcraft was televised in Korea and etc but that's further than I thought.
Also there was a young girl who spent many days straight preparing consumables etc for a raid on World of Warcraft and died. And a baby died after rolling on its stomach - because the parents were playing WoW 5 hours straight. This isn't WoW to blame but rather the people - I play WoW, but never have I been so consumed by it. :/
I know, I wouldn't ever play for several days in a row. The most I've ever done is twenty hours. Not like that makes much of a difference, but still...
