If you ask me, there IS alot of religions around the place. I personally am chritian and i dont mean to sound blasphemous or anything, but im certain that what i belive is right, so why are other people 'waisting time'with religions that in my opinion aren't real?

if you look at it biblically the real true religion is Judaism. Christianity stemmed from that, and Islam stemmed from Christianity. as for the others im not sure...

well it really all matters on where you were born raised and currently live that effect alot of it, due to what religion the person is surrounded by, immigration,trade,where the actual religion stared, and acceptance are the main factors that determine if the community is considered that religion, for example the 5 largest religions (christianity, islam, judaism, hinduism, and buddhism) all are focused on where the originated, hinduism and buddhism were both started in aincent india, and now are a majority in the far east, and the other are a majority in west and mid-east, but also acceptance of the person and community counts, im an athiest in the middle of the bible belt, so it all depends on the people

becuaze everyone is this world is biased. look at it, christains critize science whick is based on chemical and physical properties and has an out of date error by about 1% at most. at yet they still claim the world is only 6000 years old, look at you self, u are a fundamentalist, u "know"(nobody really knows what is the true religion, they are all made up anyway) that ur religion is right is that not biased?

People who believe in other religions feel that they have reasons that are just as good as yours or better. We don't all agree on what is true. Everybody feels that their view is the right one, or they wouldn't believe it. You may believe they are wasting time, but in their opinion, they aren't.

You are rather disgusting in my opinion, judging people who believe something because you believe yours is right - they do the same but not in such a horrible manner.
Not only does religion hold NO PROOF whatsoever, but you decide to rip on all other religions whilst keeping your own for the sake that you think it's real? I mean honestly, how hypocritical and stupid is that?

And yeah, I was ripping into all religions a tiny bit. Because I doubt any are real, there is no proof, there is a lot of bad stuff going on that no god seems to be helping out with, and some "rules" of religions are pretty disgraceful to come from a god whom, I may not mistake, is supposed to be perfect?
I'm not going to join in on the "Catholic rapists" rumor, or even if it is one (I don't watch the news), but as far as I know from my limited knowledge of catholics, their priests can't sleep with women, correct? Why?

Religions done more bad than worse in my opinion.
Hundred years War - Kings are entitled to the throne by God, and yet 3 people were, so by the concept of god and his rules, this war set out killing many.
The Crusades - Need I really say more? Righteous war, yeah right...
Terrorists Today - They kill the nonbelievers simply because they have a different opinion, free speech, huh?

Now go away and don't try rubbing what I think your religion is (aka garbage) into others.

So yeah, old thread is old, stupid argument will get more stupid with time, and we have enough of topics about people who wonder why religion is even part of our world.
So yeah, even though there would probably be valid points and stuff, these threads make people get pissy as seen above.
