It depends on what mood I'm in. If I feel a little more laid back, Korn works well for me. I can just relax and listen to the lyrics and occasionally rock out.
Slipknot, on the other hand, is my super intense get-pumped-up and do stuff music. When I need to clean or do dishes or, um, fight.(Not like a street fight. Durr. How would that even work out? "Now, I understand that you want to break my face. Just lemme grab my phone, search for this song on it, listen to it for a minute or two and -then- we can have at it." It just gives me to drive and energy to accomplish the task at hand.
I've never seen why anyone likes Korn. Nothing about them appeals to me. Slipknot, on the other hand. They're the masters of the whole nu-metal subgenre. I love everything about them.
...Wait a second, there are girls here who like Slipknot? What dream is this?

Heck, when I see a girl who likes Slipknot -anywhere- I get excited. Which gets me into trouble. It seems that all the girls who enjoy Slipknot always have a boyfriend that hates Slipknot. So girl and I shall be having conversations about Slipknot while said boyfriend is just standing there, looking lost and uncomfortable.
Best example:
At work, I see this couple walk towards me. The guy is wearing an AmericanEagle shirt (or something along those lines) and the girl (who happens to be -gorgeous-) is wearing Tripp pants, Demonia boots and a Slipknot shirt. So, looking at the girl, I say rather nonchalantly "You a Maggot?" The guy instantly looks at me and starts to act all uppity when the girl says "[Expletive] yeah!" Then starts conversation about favourite song and album while the poor little guy just stands there for a minute then wanders off.
