Can Game Maker be shared on Armor Games or do I actually have to pay $700 to make games?

No, but you don't need to pay 700$ either. Flash Develope is a free AS3 compiler that, from what i heard, is slightly harder to use. You still need to buy a book on AS3 or pay for a tutorial online (no, you won't find a good free one) or you can take one from the library.

true. but anyways you can make games for free using html 5 canvas tag. you cant post them here but there are other sites out there.
