The two french hostages captured the December 30th by Talibans were released yesterday. Great joy for all the France and other french journalists. After 18 months of captivity, they are healthy.
Their captivity was long, very long but they kept hope.
The conditions of their liberation are still unknown.

Post your impressions or some comments about it, if you know about what I speak.

The conditions of their liberation are still unknown.

I heard in the news the conditions of the hostage-taker were fulfilled without exception, in the same time the French government says they paid nothing and never pay anything. I suspect that the television itself paid any kind of ransom.

I am glad for them to be released, they've surely gone through hard times.

And yes, France is really happy about that. I have been watching the news, and over half of it was dedicated to this. Geez..

I'm pretty sure they were treated well. They weren't their to fight the taliban.

That's good. It's just kind of sad that they were kept for so long, though.

Haha . . . ha.

So what if a couple French nationals were released? I don't think they're particularly happy about us keeping a bunch of their guys captive. They had quite a bit of right to take our people.

They had quite a bit of right to take our people.

It means its understandable for them to do that, it does not give them a "right".
In a war when your soldier shoots another soldier, would you say the the other side has a "right" to shoot one of you're guys? No sch things as this kind of "rights" in war.

That's good. It's just kind of sad that they were kept for so long, though.

They have been treated rather well. And they have been captive for eighteen months. There has been worse, for example another French hostage who has been kept three years and been mistreated. And there are still a lot of other hostages in the world, often not as fortunate as them. It's good that they have been freed and I'm happy for them, but I don't understand the mediatic buzz that has been done around that.
