"Mr Vengeance Act-1" is clearly a max payne ripoff whit the same arenas and places where the enemy are as the origenal game.
max payne deserves more honor then this.
arn't there still copyrights on the real game? or other way to get rid of this game? it shouldn't be alowed to make such a close ripoff. (except for NES games. they are not copyrighted anymore.)
You can argue god knows how many games "ripped off" or "copied" another game - there is a lot of repetitiveness in game. Yeah, it does seem similar but hey, most games need to take ideas from each other and it's not 100% max payne.
ive played alot games my entire life (NES since i was 3 year old) and ive never seen such a duplicate of a game then this 1. there is no own idea in that game at all. even the enemys are located at the same places. ive never seen such thing in any ripoff game. usely there is some creativety spotted. but not here.
Copyright protects original works of authorship, while a patent protects inventions or discoveries. Ideas and discoveries are not protected by the copyright law, although the way in which they are expressed may be. A trademark protects words, phrases, symbols, or designs identifying the source of the goods or services of one party and distinguishing them from those of others.
I've never played Max Payne, but this isn't the first time this has happened. Look at all the hack n' slash games that have "ripped off" Devil May Cry: God of War, Dark Siders, No More Heroes, Dante's Inferno, the later Dynasty Warriors, and the newest Castlevania.
I thought Mr. Vengance was an alright game, meaning I wouldn't pay for it if it was made into a console game. So if it's an exact rip off of Max Payne, I can save money and play the same thing online for free.
it = max payne - graphics - walking - bullettime - story - atmosphere + nothing. the atmosphere and being the 1st game whit bullettime ever. makes max payne a 1 of a kind game that came near perfect.
The gameplay of Max Payne revolves around bullet time, a form of slow motion â" when triggered, the passage of time is slowed down to such extent that the movements of bullets can be seen by the naked eye and enables Max to perform special moves. Although Payne's movement is also slowed, the player is still able to position the aiming reticle and react in real time, providing an advantage over enemies. Occasionally, when the last character of an enemy group is killed, the viewpoint switches to a third-person view circling his falling body. Likewise, the camera may follow the path of a bullet fired from a sniper rifle.
