Perconally I think RS is a very appealing game. Unlike other well-known MMOs, Runescape allows players to do many things even though they're not members. Although being a member is great, you can still getby without it. The only drawback I've noticed is that when working on differnt skills, it takes a lot of time and it gets pretty boring.

Actually, a lot of MMOs do that. Like;

Lord of the Rings Online
Dungeons and Dragons Online
Maplestory
Perfect World
FLYFF

And these are just some well-known MMORPGs with free features. There are probably more MMOs that are free than pay-to-play.

Runescape is a child's MMO. It's basically a starter-pack so they'll eventually grow into the other ones.

Pros.
Runescape is in browser
Requires no big downloads
F2P
Easy to controll
Has regular updates

Cons.
Requires little skill and small input other then a few clicks of the mouse every so often
Graphics arent as good as other mmorpgs
Have to subscribe after you hit high levels to get high level equipment.

I like runescape, i used to be majorly addicted but then again it was the first one i played so it seemed more exciting than it was, but it's a pretty good place to make friends on.

actually is Runescape just a over-played, with bots filled browser game. If you want a nice mmorpg, try the new star wars mmo or (can't believe im saying it) spoil 10 euro a month for WoW that is even more fun than runescape.

Strangely, this is the 3rd Runescape thread I've seen in less than a week.

I like it still. Maybe it has to do with it being the fact that it's the first MMORPG that I've played, but I still think it's fun. Although I haven't played it in a while...

But yeah, even though the only control is the mouse and maybe the arrow keys, the fact that there's a lot to do in the game makes it quite addicting. Although when you reach a higher level, it gets kinda tedious.

it was cool until i met WoW. if you're looking for a rpg that doesnt require 20 gigs of space, try some of the free mmo's that are out there that at most will take 5gigs. ( suggest going to mmohut.com)

I played RuneScape when I was younger; I think it was the first actual MMORPG that I played. It was nice until I began to notice other MMOs, but all the while, it was very repetitive.
