When it comes out, which class are you going to be? Classes: * The Witch Doctor is a new character reminiscent of the Diablo II Necromancer, but with skills more traditionally associated with voodoo culture. The Witch Doctor has the ability to summon monsters, cast curses, harvest souls, and hurl poisons and explosives at his enemies.
* The Barbarians will have a variety of revamped skills at their disposal based on the use of their incredible physical prowess. The Barbarian is able to whirlwind through crowds, cleave through swarms, leap across crags, and crush opponents upon landing.
* The Wizard is a version of the Sorceress from Diablo II or the Sorcerer from Diablo. The Wizard's abilities range from shooting lightning, fire and ice at their enemies to slowing time and teleporting around enemies and through walls.
* The Monk is a melee attacker, using martial arts to cripple foes, resist damage, deflect projectiles, attack with blinding speed, and land explosive killing blows. It combines the melee elements of Diablo II's Assassin class with the "holy warrior" role of the Paladin. Blizzard has stated that the Monk is not related in any way to the Monk class from the Sierra Entertainment-made Diablo: Hellfire expansion.[24]
* The Demon Hunter combines elements of Diablo II's Amazon and Assassin classes. Demon Hunters use crossbows as their main weapon and also throw small bombs at enemies. Some of their skills have been revealed and among them are arrow skills such as Chain Arrow.

Compared with the Necromancer I think the Witch Doctor is a poorly conceived knockoff. Aside from the fact that he looks like a hunchbacked, haggard druggie, summoning 'monsters' just isn't as cool as raising your dead enemies to fight by your side and exploding corpses and making bone walls.

The only problem I have with the Barbarians is that they both look old and ugly and I don't like playing old people. But that's only because being an artist I always look at the art and I tend to be critical about how my hero looks. As far as the class goes, it seems just as good as the D2 Barbarian. So it's still an option for me.

I don't make a habit of playing Sorc classes, because, though they're always pretty OP, they have a bad tendency to quickly lose stamina and health while begging for an energy build to keep up with their massive mana use. However, for those who like Sorcs, it looks like they'll be the least disappointed with the new classes.

The Monk isn't a good replacement for the Paladin in my opinion. If they got rid of auras and Divine Hammers then he renders totally lame in my mind.

Demon Hunter seems to be the best class to me aside from barbarian. I never played Assassin but I found the Amazon to be an easy, fun, and flexible class to play. my first Diablo 2 character was an Amazon named Catriona who got so powerful she could pwn every n00b on the block. Judging by the gameplay shots I've seen for the Demon Hunter it looks like an enjoyable class which is also not old or gross-looking.
So looks like I'm gonna be a Demon Hunter. though that decision might be affected by the fact that my favorite tv show is about demon hunters and I love the band Demon Hunter. I dunno. xD

/end review(sorry! can't resist a good Diablo discussion.)
