I personally think that Bond is one of the most smooth, calculating, calm, and effective characters ever devised. What do my peers at large think? Is he a suave hero or just a sexist relic from the Cold War?
Pierce Bronson and Sean Connery are my favorites. The other Bond's are good, but they don't match up to Bronson and Connery!
Bond is a great character. I'm fascinated with all the movies and the video games. This reminded me that I should record all the Bond movies, thank you.
Bronson is good too. Death Wish was just full of people being killed. I mean, I watched the third one and it was definitely more over-the-top than the first two.
That list of ones that either were turned away or refused is great.
Sam Neill would've been amazing. He's got an epic voice. He already had the accent and was able to convincingly fake an American one for Jurassic Park.
I don't think anyone would take the 007 series seriously anymore if Will Smith got the part.
Browsing through the list I saw Robert Pattison. He was rejected for being too young and having a "dirty" image. How dirty can a sparkling, vegetarian of a vampire get? Well I'm not much of a Bonds fan mainly because I don't have all the films in my disposal. I was only able to see Craig as Bond and I'm guessing he wasn't all that great.
The person himself has a 'dirty image' but his character definitely doesn't.
All I got is that he never showers. So he technically he does have a 'dirty' image, well a smelly one that's for sure. And no body wants to make a movie with a smelly actor.
