What do you think if the big gaming companies (Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo) re-released the classic games (meaning the games that sold the best along with great reviews). They didn't change the storyline or characters, all they changed was gameplay, graphics, and maybe made the difficulty slightly easier. This would be best for future generations so they're not trying to buy a 20-year-old console and games just for it to catch fire from all of the dust.
A good example of re-releasing a classic game would be Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time for the 3DS. They enhanced the graphics, gameplay, color- coded the Water Temple (if you played the original, you'll see how big of a difference this is), and even added some very small things that don't affect the entire game as a whole. There was no storyline change, no character change.
So, do you think it would be a good idea for the companies to do this?
Basically, the graphics might not be brilliant. (Obviously, but they were amazing for when it was made.)
I don't play games for graphics, I play games for gameplay and plot, (Ijust bought an SNES/Genisis hybrid-type console). I mostly said enhance the graphics to keep up with the newer games since some people do play games for looks.
That's good, graphics are indeed only a little portion of a game. The graphics of a game could be the best ever but if the story line/gameplay are pants then the whole game is pants.

As long as the game feels like the original, like the Dragon Quest 4-6 remakes. Some games, though, are harder than the original. Believe me, I played Final Fantasy 4 DS. It is hard.
They're planning a remake.
I don't think that they would. I heard that it would take 5 years with today's capabilities.
Infinity ward should redo do black ops and world at war
Neither of those games are even five years old. They're still sold in stores. People will still talk about what they did those games the other night. If any of the CoD games gets a makeover, it should be 1-3. And even those games are still quite new compared to the ones everyone's been suggesting.
I think every time they remake a classic game they kill a big part of it. Like sonic for example, they redid the whole game and it went down kill from there. What they should do is re-release the org game on a CD or DL. This will be a smarter thing to do in the long run.
i personally dont get the point of re-releasing a game when GameStop has any game for really cheap, sure it may be used, but as long as it works, its the same thing.

Have you tried playing an old game on an old console and you can't find a controller for it in any store?
