The 3DS is Nintendo's newest release for there lineup of portable gameing systems. The promise of 3D without the glasses is pretty nice, and AG (Augmented Reality) games are nice touch, but the price is steep an the release lineup is terrible, comparitivly. However, with the release of the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, and the promise of a new Super Mario and Mario Kart, plus the eShop, for all of you who wish to play older games, there might be a reason to own a 3DS in the near future.
I say everybody hold off buying it until about a year from now. After that there would be new, better games and possibly a lower cost.If you buy it now you will either be very disappointed in it or so enchanted about the idea of getting to see stuff in 3d other than at the movie theater that you don't even care how terrible the game play is. I mean no offense to long time Nintendo goers its just a personal opinion.
well... it should definately be less money... it gives me headaches
Do what the manual tells you to don't play for hours on end and lessen the 3d effect. Is it really that hard to read those manuals?
It's never good to be an early adopter for anything ever. Better versions for cheaper prices come out fairly early in the lifespan with a bigger library of games.
I think its realli good to start developing games in 3D. Maybe they're expensive now but in a couple of years they'll be really accesible, just like cd over recording tapes, playstation over nintendo 64 and so
First off i dont like 3D effect 2. I have played on 3DS and actually grafics are worst then on normal PSP1000 , 2000 , 3000 3. Its Nintendo! Casual Gaming is not for me! And Nintendo fails somehow lately with consoles, yes its original but still i dont like it. 4. Even if nintendo 3DS will sold more , i think PSVita will Generally kick it ***. Only thing 3DS is good for its for list of games its already has. althrough it still bad. 5. Worth spendin 250$ on 3DS just 6 month before PSVita is out? No not worth it.
yea, Nintendo jumped on the 3D bandwagon, and while it is pretty cool how you don't need glasses, the technology will leave you with a stroke if you play too long. The battery life is short, and the games (excluding Street Fighter and Ocarina of Time) are very sub-par.
My suggestion? Wait for the Playstation Vita, and if you have more cash on hand by then, then just get the inferior handheld and the only 2 games it probably still will have out by then.
Maybe I've been hating too much on this thing, because there's actually some cool things you can do with the technology the handheld has right now, that isn't being capitalized on yet. It probably will, but until then, I give the 3DS a 6/10 in terms of quality.
Well like all 3D technology,it's probably going to cause headaches. But if you have Netflix you can watch instant movies on it. It has its ups and downs like almost every game system. I say wait until the price goes down to buy it if you want it.
My friends say it isn't and I agree. It's a hand-held so shouldn't you eb able to walk and play it? But no. If you wlak around with it the 3-D seems to turn on and off on it. I say wait for the price to drop or wait for the next version of it.
Do not get it you cant play regular DS games and dont you remember how many commericials they had for it and its games and Ocarnia Of Time 3D doesnt have as good graphics as on the Wii Virtual Console.
