Armor points are awarded for activity on the website. You recieve:
2AP for rating a game, 2AP for commenting on a game, 1AP for posting in the forums, 20AP for submitting a game and 25AP for earning a merit. As you build up your AP, you increase your rank and you get to unlock more armatars which are the little icons you have as your picture.
