Wow this is really sad. I cannot believe people would do this. And the teachers would change answers. What has America come to?

That's dreadful. Handing out false grades is setting a child up to fail. They will believe they're smarter than reality, and when it comes to serous test times and college, they will be unprepared.

That's utterly awful. All for money and to avoid punishment. That just makes me sad.

So far, at least four of the district's top administrators and two principals have been removed and put on paid leave.

Why the **** are they getting a paid leave? They should get booted out and stamped on the forehead, "Damaged goods"

I guess this is just another reason to write on my list of reasons why I don't like "No Child Left Behind"

I was thinking the same thing. Really especially with No Child Left Behind in play it doesn't surprise me in the least.

It's what happens when you attempt to enforce an outcome-based measure to substitute for a change that ought to take place on a cultural level.

Especially if the culture is obsessed with outcome-based measures to begin with.

This will make a mark later on if they get a job based on their grades. Maybe these are children and in that case they won't work as hard to get good grades. They can just cheat and when it gets serious without cheats they will fail hard in class.
