So if one goes to ModernWarfare3.com; the obvious expectancy is the official site for the upcoming game from Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer, and Raven. What one will ACTUALLY find is a Call of Duty hate-site, and a pro-Battlefield site.
Recently, the link led to the official site for Battlefield 3, Digital Illusion's hotly anticipated title, but it was changed back to the original site some days after.
Not surprisingly, Activision has made a big stink over the whole thing, even filing a charge to remove possession of the site from the owner to the courts.
Look, if you like a game, you like a game. Activision didn't make a stink about Bad Company 2's Modern Warfare 2 jokes, so why all the fuss now? I am going to get both games, mainly getting MW3 for solid fact as to why it may or may not be of high or low quality, and what someone does with his/her money and wishes to discuss about is his/her own business.
I mean, when i made that "Why I fear for Modern Warfare 3" thread a while back, nobody from Activision came knocking on my door, so what gives?
Insecurity. :P It's like not allowing people to mod your game - are you afraid they'd make it better or different in a good way? There is no reason there shouldn't be modding, it provides longevity, it provides fun and entertainment and it only costs the budget to give the editor and guide to the people. As far as that's down it is FREE.
This is about modernwarfare3.com right now about modding. But I think activision should grow up and accept that if they wanted the page they should have been faster and so what it is negative. I don't have much with newer CoDs since cod 5
