I recently seem to have the problem that on a nearly daily basis my save files are gone. I am using Chrome, but have never really had this problem before. However I constantly lose my saves in Cursed Treasure, Learn to Fly 2 and even more worrisome in Crush the Castle TD (which is supposed to be cloud based). I wanted to bring this to the attention of AG as it is a serious concern for many users as I can regularly see from the comments.

ps.
Why on earth is Amateur Surgeon 2 still bugged? Is that ever going to be solved?

So for anyone looking this up: I have resolved this issue. I have another browser which I occasionally use. This browser is set to clear the history and stuff and it was this browser that emptied my coockies. So check any other browsers' setting for clearing private data and stuff.

Thank you all for your answers. It seems indeed to be a bigger problem and not dependent on browser. I am using windows 7 but have read already of people who report the problem on other systems. The main thing is that it never used to happen, nothing new was installed, and now it is happening with nearly all games on Armorgames. Coockies are not removed and storage for the Flash player is set to unlimited, yet the problem remains. It is a strange development and I am sure Armorgames is not happy with it.

^^Tried to quote from above. This same thing happens to me. If I close my browser or just refresh my screen, any saved data is lost. For some games, just going to the main menu will undo it (i.e. it never saves). My flash settings for memory are set to unlimited also.

I really hope someone comes up with a solution as most games are unplayable. On a side note, I love the ability to copy in saved game text in gemcraft to continue a saved game as well as Kindom Rush via the new armor games online save (the latter is great!). I love ability to save my game online to the armor gamnes account; it means I can actualy play these longer games!

For the underlying non-saving issue, any other thoughts would be welcome.

I have a similar question, but in more of a preventative way.

I sometimes have problems with other programs where one suggested solution is to "clear my cache". I try to avoid this because I thought I remembered that some of my AG savegames were stored in my Cache & I didn't want to lose them. (I already lost ALL savedata & had to start over from scratch when I got a whole new machine earlier this year).

I read through all the previous posts regarding cookies, and googled some stuff, so I'm taking steps to make sure that my AG cookies aren't lost if they save game info.
I've been using both Firefox and Chrome for a long time, but only Firefox for AG, because I'm worried that if open a game on a different browser or different computer, if it's a game that stores the saves on my machine (rather than on the website), then I might lose that game. But just this week due to issued w/the Firefox updates, I've switched to just using Chrome, and although I've played several games here & still seen my info saved (& achievements earned, etc), I've yet to open some "big" games in fear I'll see I'll my progress gone.

Mostly I'm asking for advice on whether it's safe to clear my chache w/out erasing any savegames (especially if I use a registry-clean program). But I'm also curious how safe it is to switch between different browsers/machines.
Primarily I have a Windows7 desktop; I also have a WinXp laptop I only use occasionally.

If they are cache'd at all, they're saved in a different Cache.

AG cookies aren't lost if they save game info.

They don't save game info, they save site info (passwords, usernames, ect)

It's safe.

I also hope that. I actually contributed via paypal to Kingdom Rush just becasue it's one of the only games that I can save my game on because of the online save feature.

Ah! Darn! I experienced this problem today! Yesterday, I was playing Learn To Fly 2. I was "kicking ice" (sorta) and then went to sleep. Today, I couldn't find the saved game! How weird!

Browser: Opera
Deleted Cookies?: No
Deleted History?: No

WHY?

master565, thank you for your advice. But I have reason to believe you are wrong about game saves not being stored in cookies:

I just went to Kingdom Rush and found my saved game has been deleted. The only thing I've done since I last played it that would affect cookies is by opening ArmorGames on Chrome (which automatically deletes cookies) whereas I used to only use Firefox. Although it might be the Firefox's recent upgrade to version 6 that also broke so many other things that did this....

But this is written in the description of KingdomRush on the game's page:

If you experience any local savegames issues:
* Make sure your browser allows cookies.
* Make sure your browser doesn't delete cookies on exit.
* If you are using any software that deletes cookies (like CCleaner), disable that feature.

That alone implies that savegame info is stored in cookies for at least some games. I'm now afraid to even try to open Arcuz, because that game's taken me almost a year to earn about 10% of the achievements so far, if that save info has been erased then I'm not even gonna bother starting over again

My exit path 2 file got deleted, i dont no why, but i think its because not alot of information is sent to ur desktop/account.try right clicking and press settings on ur game, look at currently used first, if it has reach the limit drag the button to unlimited. Hope it helps, but 4 me it wont, since i only use 78kb out of 100.

This has been happening to me since I started playing armor games. When I start a new one, the next day it's gone and when I start again and again, it keeps going away..

Make sure that you are allowing your computer to keep files saved and that your cookies aren't being deleted.

I also have this problem. How could I ensure that my computer is not deleting Chrome cookies ? Chrome saves all the websites I visited yesterday, for instance, why does it lost my saving games ?
