Basically just a thread to rant about anything and everything. I won't bore you with rules or anything, just remember to stick to the community guidelines and don't let this get out of hand

I absolutely hate humans, the idea that humans are better than every other animal is bull. They fight, They ruin things, They are ignorant to others, They are over populated, They don't accept change in ideas, They think they are supreme, They lie, they steal, they cheat, they hurt those that love them the most.

NO! Human's are not perfect, and we all can agree, but they don't deserve to reign higher than every other animal.

They think they are supreme

Oh, but humans are supreme over all animals. We can easily kill them if we choose to do so. We are at the top of the food chain for a reason.

We are at the top of the food chain for a reason.

Exactly. There's a reason other animals never made it into space on their own. Granted, some animals are smart (there's vids of birds using simple tools to solve problems), and people aren't perfect, but we're on top.

@Jeol
Well, hang in there buddy. Things that I would try doing:
1. Talking to people about it (you already started that)
2. Do what you enjoy
3. Don't care what other people say too much (It may take some time)

If you get nervous around a lot of people:
1. Chew some gum (especially helpful if you tend to clench your teeth)
2. Try to keep busy
3. Chat with people you know, meet new people, and just get more comfortable

Well, I hoped that helped you (and anyone else going through stuff like that) out a bit.

The other day, all students participating in Fall sports (that were there that day) were required to attend an assembly. So for an hour and a half, we all sat there while the 8th best athlete in our state (for gymnastics) lectured us about how he had been succesful and so on and so forth. Also, he gave us a notecard and told us to write down goals and thought we would actually keep it in our lockers for the entire year! ...lol, I threw it out after I left the auditorium.
Oh, BTW, I was going to make this a thread about lame school assemblies but then it kind of seemed like a rant so...

Now I'll talk about my experiences with GameStop.

I've recently acquired this dislike for GameStop. It's because when I went to a GameStop store for some Xbox 360 video games, all they had there were some used video games. There's nothing wrong with that, they want to be able to lower the price of video games for people. However, these used video games weren't like that. These used video games cost the same as new video games. What GameStop is doing is basically thievery. They will purchase your used video games for a low price, then they'll set a high price for the used video games and gain a nice amount of profit. There's nothing bad about that, however, when they take used video games for two dollars, then sell them for twenty dollars, that's terrible. About a year ago I could go to a GameStop store and purchase new video games for a set price, used video games for about five-ten dollars less than the new video games, and get a good price for used video games. But times have changed since then, nowadays they barely have any new video games, sell used video games for the price of new video games, and give you a few dollars for used video games then sell them for ten-twenty more dollars than they gave you. I'm very displeased with GameStop. Since I now know how they've changed things, I'll be purchasing my video games from Walmart and Bestbuy.

@GhostOfMatrix

If that's true then things must have really changed there since I last went... I always was frustrated at how my used games were worth so much less. I can understand the depreciating value effect, but just because I use a game doesn't mean I'm degrading it to 1/10 its value. That always frustrated me.

@GoM:
Yeah, that's why I just buy new. Also, if you buy new, there's a really low chance of getting a scratched disc and wasting all your money.

I agree. I haven't bought anything from a GS in over a year due to the prices. There's a Mega Media Xchange by me that's much more fair. They sell even recently released games (new and used) for about $37 instead of $50. They'll pay more than what's on GS's "wanted games list" price (where they're out of stock and will pay more due to desperation). There's also a 1-week return policy in case there's defects (not because you didn't like it or something). They also will clean your disks that you bought there for free.

Me too. And I take good care of my discs and the cases. So I basically give them games that aren't scratched, look brand new, and I get a few dollars while they turn it around and sell them for much more than what they gave me.

It's what I mostly do, but I like to buy used games to test them then return them.

I've always wanted one of those disc cleaners.

If you're real serious about wanting one, here's the best one I've found, but it's $45. There's other ones for specific game systems like Xbox if that's what you were looking for.

Me too! I'm a neat freak, so every game has to go in its case when it's not being used. I get ticked when my sister is too lazy to put the games in their rightful places.
So I basically give them games that aren't scratched, look brand new, and I get a few dollars while they turn it around and sell them for much more than what they gave me.

Exactly... And what stinks is that there really isn't much anyone can do to stop the process, short of a major boycott. And somehow that doesn't seem likely or plausible to me. D:

Ironically, I once saw on a gaming website that a way to remove scratches from disks was to rub a BANANA and it's peel on the scratched surface and use a window cleaner afterwards.

Is a brazilian link but I can explain to you guys if you want...
