TF2 didn't entertain me for long. I played it for about a week then got bored.

About a week or two after TF2 was free...my team had 5 snipers. =(
Anyone here actually good with using the huntsman without spamming randomly into chokes and hoping you hit something? I've seen people who actually manage to snipe with it. Same with crusader's crossbow.
Medieval mode doesn't count

Huntsman is pretty good but having more then 10% of your team sniping can ruin it for you.

@loloynage2 I think everyone knows TF2 is free now...

What can I say about Valve.
I'd say, Valve is some random company utilizing one engine for all of their games (except TF2).
I think most of you will agree with that sentence. But this sentence isn't meant to be negative, nope, it's positive.
Valve makes Games with Zombies and Teleportations and Cubes and Cakes and alot more and they have THE engine for it that is so perfect for all their games. And I don't really appreciate the Valve Team, no, I worship them for the great stuff that they've created.
I guess it will soon be a childhood dream to work at Valve rather than dancing with Spongebob.
Oh and before I forget, they have the best marketing strategy on the world, Steam!
My opinion is, that Steam is awesome and that it should be considered a fairly cheap option to buy games. I hate it when I see an XBox 360 game hanging around in the store for 60 or 70 euros waiting to be bought whilst the same game costs about 45 or 50 euros on Steam. Is there anyone here who thinks so too?

I played on a normal server versus one of them, he was rather impressive.

On another server (pl_badwater), we petitioned the server admin to switch to medieval mode. It would've worked, but we didn't want to restart the server =/

It's fun in medieval mode when you snipe blu as soon as they come out of spawn

Once on the valve TF servers, a gunslinger engi on gorge, offense kept setting mini-sentries on the ledge overlooking the point/red battlements?... No wrangler, he just ran in, planted, ran out. I killed the sentries about 10-15 times as a sniper, he kept building them, and they never shot anything. He ran away too quick to headshot but I did once, then he came back to spam. Needless to say...that really inflated my points/destruction

I had a thread on L4D3 somewhere, but I think it necro'd.

I love TF2. And i love their "Meet the___" videos.

Other than that, I've been wanting to get into Portal.

I wonder where exactly the giant Aperature facility is. Somewhere in the USA, considering Cave Johnson. I actually have a few questions about it. It seems to be really, really, REALLY huge. Not to mention it goes deep underground. So just how big is it?

Well at one point GLaDOS, did say that you were so far deep that the "air" your breathing is carbon dioxide "Freshened up a bit" and pump it back in. so I don't know an exact number (Math time anyone?) but that must be pretty big ._.

I don't remember correctly, but at one point you arrive at a point where (I think) said 5000m.

TF2 uses the source engine.

Yea I've misread the wikipedia article :S

I happen to love the source engine, not simply because its such an easy engine to get accustomed to (silly frostbite, you so clunky) but the mod tools are simple enough for it to be used at universities for students to learn how to code.

I don't think you should compare the Source Engine with Frostbite.
Frostbite is much better than the Source Engine in it's core (graphics, audio etc.) but Frostbite hasn't been developed for modding, but I think that Valve wanted a highly customizable Engine with the Source Engine which sets the Source Engine apart from Frostbite in terms of modding/customization.
