Hi. I've been heard that some dudes make "clone accounts" and use them to impersonate other users (an example is shown on cormyn's comment page: evIlman34575 is impersonating evilman34575). I just don't understand how and why do they do that.
I checked the both accounts cited above and they are identical (and even are ranked on the same position!). How do they do that? And, the most important why do they do that?
Well, just because they have similar usernames doesn't mean they are trying to impersonate you. That may be the username they want and like it. If they start saying they are you and try to actually impersonate you, then it's an impersonation account. If that's the case, you should talk with Cormyn about it, but if they aren't doing anything wrong, there's nothing to be discussed.
