Hey everybody. Everybody loves random facts, right? So I've created this topic to discuss about them.

They must be interesting and real (no need to cite sources, but they must be real) and (according to the AG rules) they must have 7 or more words.

Let me begin.

In England a woman named Ceejay Epton (age 22) decided to change her name after her son was born. The reason: she wanted to help the baby to learn the alphabet faster. Then she changed her name to

"Ceejay A Apple B Boat C Cat D Dog E Elephant F Flower G Goat H House I Igloo J Jellyfish K Kite L Lion M Monkey N Nurse O Octopus P Penguin Q Queen R Robot S Sun T Tree U Umbrella V Violin W Whale X X-Ray Y Yo-yo Z Zebra Terryn Feuji-Sharemi"

She got the idea from a friend that wanted to be named "Pink" and decided to change her name too.

The good news is that on England, the name changing process is easy and costs £10

Did you know that there is a recently discovered butterfly which half of its body is male and the other half female.

I don't know any details.

I read that a few years ago on a science book. When a particle (a grain of sand, as an example) gets inside the clam's shell, it starts to throw substances in it as a defense mecanism. In the end, a pearl is born! (Not literally, of course.)

You are 3x more likely to have a heart attack when having sex

Also, researchers said that such "relationships" make you lose about 300 Calories (at a time). 10x The calories you lose while sleeping! (for 8 hours).

This fact is extremely ironic though, the only reason you're more likely to get a heart attack is because of the increased blood flow.
But doing these things keep your heart healthier and inevitably reduce the risk of heart attack over the long term.

Also, your tongue is the strongest muscle in your body.

Oh, wanted to correct this one.

Your tongue is the strongest muscle in your body relative to its size.

You share your birthday with approximately 18 million people worldwide.

Anyone else have their birthday on November 12th?

All news reporters are required to take a tricky diction test full of hard to pronounce words in order for them to be hired. It's so that they will be able to speak clearly (i.e. diction). Here it is:

1 hen

2 ducks

3 squawking geese

4 limerick oysters

5 corpulent porpoises

6 pairs of Don Alvairzo's tweezers

7 thousand macedonians in full battle array

8 brass monkeys from the ancient sacred secret crypts of egypt

9 apathetic, sympathetic, diabetic, old men on roller skates, with a marked (mark-ed) propensity towards procrastination and sloth

10 lyrical, spherical, diabolical denizens of the deep who haul quay around the quo of the quivvy of the quarry,
ALL AT THE SAME TIME!

Thanks to troopdude, I saw the test on his profile and was reminded of the reporter thing.

Smarts is knowing things.
Strength is the ability to act.
Guts is the willingness to act.

Wisdom is being able to use all three of those together.
