Hi. Everybody knows that in AG there is a Profanity Filter that turns profanities into *'s. But, when curiosity kicked in, I asked myself:
What words are censored by the filter?
(To explain that, please refer to the profanities on a clean way. Don't alter it [like adding *'s or trading 'ck' for 'x'] because it is against the site's rules)
It's the usual bunch. Genitalia of various kinds, sexual references of vulgar nature, swears. Usually anything that is used negatively against a person or thing, though "non consensual penetration" is also censored after having been abused against some of our female mods and admins when the site had just started up. Similarly, a few foreign swears have been added after people having used them against other users.
@Cenere: I saw omething odd going on: I saw in the forums the word "crap" and it wasn't censored. When I commented a game, I wrote the mentioned word and it was censored (turned into *'s). Why it was censored on the comments and not in the forum post?
That sounds a bit odd. It shouldn't censor out, being a rather tame swear, and since the censor is the same for the entire site it seems somewhat impossible that something like that should happen. I can think of one reason off the top of my head and that would be misspelling the word into one of the censored words somehow.
It might be something I will need to get an admin to answer, since they are working directly with the site, and would know how something like that could happen.

Roger721, the word "crap" is not filtered. There's also no history of you using that exact word in any game comment on our system. I checked the database myself.
Your exact message for the RIO game started with "OMG!! (Darn)! This game is AWFUL!! ..." and you repeat the (Darn) word at the end.
