Hello,

Recently i encountered a problem on armorgames.
The thing is, i cannot play flash games that are on this site.
Sure they do start up and everything but they just wont play.
However, when i go on my friends comp (same house same spec) i can play them normally? (this also counts for different sites)

things i have tried already:

- Clearing Cache
- uninstall and reinstall flash (v10..)
- Delete and Reinstall firefox (my friend uses it too, so dont tell me i gotta use google chrome..)

anyone can help me out? as i really love the site.

(also, before you start saying search the forum first, i havnt found anything yet that solved my problem.)

Greetings,

Takkrala

What happens when you try playing? Is it just black screen that shows up?

Try right clicking on the screen when your in the flashgame and hit 'Play' - sometimes it's works, sometimes it doesn't

i can start it up, but either when i click play it will not start or when it starts it completly bugs out.

try'd that alot, but since it already starts it has no use.

New: whenever i try to play a game HERE (only on this site again)
i now get ACTIONSCRIPT errors... wich has never happened before.

What does it say, this actionscript error?
Maybe you need a plugin since you use Firefox.

Is it possibly your computer's graphic card.If not that, may I recommend Google,And if that doesn't work make sure you have the most up to date flash player and activate it.A lot of times It could be your browser.Just go to Firefox.com and download Aurora. If none of that works,I don't know what to tell you.Hope that helps.

Yeah, it could be your graphics card, or that someone could've changed your settings in your internet browser. Try using Google Chrome! I'm using it and it's better than Mozilla Firefox in my opinion.

Well, not the browser, the flash version, ... I'm not sure.
Maybe your internet is really slow or you have an add-on/ security thing that is blocking flash from playing?

Okay, try this:

Right click on the game
Click settings
And see how much local storage you are allowing
If it is at none, try increasing it.

Internet is 100mb/s slow? as the spy in TF2 says; Noh
if its a security thing, then why can i play flash games on other sites? well could, considering the actionscript now...

This guy had the same problem, this is what he said when he solved the problem:

Problem solved.

I noticed that SharedObjects in the working account are stored under ~/.macromedia/Flash_Player/#SharedObjects with some info in other files under ~/.macromedia. I then noticed that my primary user didn't even have a .macromedia folder in his home directory. There was only what seemed to be a backup called .macromedia.sav. So I copied .macromedia from my other user's home folder and changed owner, group and permissions. Problem solved.

A still don't understand what had renamed ~/.macromedia into ~/.macromedia.sav. When I myself rename a file or a folder to retain it as a backup I usually add the extension .old and sometimes .new or .backup. I don't use .sav. Oh well...

Once more, thank you for your help, menotu and 7272andy. Without you I wouldn't have known where to start looking.

i fixed it YES!

Thank you Blkasp youre post helped me fix it! kudos to you sir!

even though it was not the thing i did to fix this, it did help me solve this.
i found out that there were a few maps in my macromedia folder that couldnt be read (it was there, yet not) sorry, dont know how to say it in english.

so i was thinking, hey this stuff is completly screwed. and i deleted EVERYTHING that involved macromedia.
went back online to armorgames and selected a random game. it told me i had to instal a plugin etc wich i did. and now its fixed!

kind of a doh on my side, as i couldve figured that out before even making this thread. youre post did help me remind it though.

Greetings,

Takkrala
