Just want to know how to type something with a link on it. Instead of posting the entire url.

replace the parentheses with square brackets.

you did the coding part right, but you should get rid of the second http and the period that follows it.

When you press the "Link" BB-Code button, a pop-up appears that asks you to enter the URL of the page you want to link to. By default, on the bar where you have to paste the link, there is a marked "http://". Just make sure you delete this before you paste the URL.
