What do you think should be done about bullying? Have you ever been bullied? Have you ever been the bully? What kinds of bullying are there.
With bullying becoming a growing problem in America, how do you think it should be delt with. It is a federal offense to bully anyone based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, race, ethnicity, or national origin. Have you ever been bullied based on any of these things? If so now is the time to speak out on bullying before anyone else becomes a victim.

It's ironic sure, but they come out and turn into such happy and lovely people.
I've found that homosexuality brings about an air of freedom for some people. That's why they tend to be rather jolly.

That's alright bitter people can be fun, make you feel better about yourself.
I realize not all guys are in favor of it, I was just curious as to which group was more fervent in their assault.
I can't believe the physical portion though, especially from the males, I realize chivalry's pretty much dead but I thought manners were still fairly popular.
Oh females of course were more violent.
The boys gave me the occasional shove, push, kick, slap or whatever in the hallways/outside.
The girls had the advantage of having the school lesbian alone in the locker rooms.
Another thing that i think springs homophobic bullying is the world is way too full of itself.

I think girls are meaner. And where I go to school religion is a part of it. One girl has hated me since we were in Kingergarten, she calls me devil worshiper, HItler wanna-be, Hitler worshiper, and so forth. The sad thing is she hardly knows one darn thing about me. So one day I just decided to act like what the other kids called me, it got me into quite a bit of trouble.
What do you think should be done about bullying?
I suggest owning them. Preferably with your fist, feet, elbows, or other body part.

Depends what you mean by "Bullied". Some of my friends make fun of me, I make fun of my friends. Its mostly in good taste, not really bullying.

"Growing problem"? If you are referring to "word bullies" then grow a pair, either ignore them or fight them. Learn some martial arts, if you are a total wimp. But really, it is a non issue unless you are referring to physical violence, in which case the self defense courses would also be necessary, and maybe some adult interference is it gets like knife fighty.

Which is censorship, and I don't agree. So now I will violate this law. Yay internet! (For the record, I am in fact straight). Hey you, strieghty. Yeah, I'm talking to you. Your so straight that you don't even touch yourself! (Posse in the back makes some cheering noises). Your so heterosexual that you watch pron in your spare time, and look at the person of the opposite gender! (More posse noises).
Take that you hetro. I just broke the law and fought for free speech at the same time! Ain't I such a rebel.

Yes. Big bad ol' white heterosexual male atheist getting bullied for being white, heterosexual, and male all the time.

I just made a victim of every heterosexual person reading this post. Do you feel insulted? You shouldn't. They are just words. They don't do anything. Really, by censoring these you are just being an idiot. I hate censorship, no matter what form it takes.

That answer may not be as simple as you think, "nerds" tend to have the one thing that most bullies don't. Wit. Word's hurt right? And nerds have the ability to wield sarcasm like the deadliest of weapons.
But bullying happened when I was in school. I didn't process the Weapon of Wit at the time.
That, and I'm kind of slow in the sense of being truley witty. I always think of ****** comebacks... hours after they'd originally be useful.
I do that because things people say usually stick with me so I think of various conversations as to how I would have replied.
I don't have that problem on the internet, I actually have time to think about what to reply.

So you are saying that bullying is only a temporary phenomena and it ends after a relatively short amount of time? That makes it even more impotent, which is rather difficult.
