the wiiu is just a bottom screen for the wii, like the ds. It enhances the wii, so it is easier and supposed to be more fun. It is not a portable wii, it's just like another controller.

That's incorrect. The Wii U is an entirely new console that happens to use Wii motes as controllers for players 2-4.
The Wii U is an entirely new console being built by Nintendo. Here's a picture of the console itself.
It is approximately 1.8 inches tall, 6.8 inches wide and 10.5 inches long. But dispite it still being small it packs quite the punch being able to support up to full 1080p graphics. It will have backwards compatibility with the Wii. Unfortunetly it loses its compatibility with the Gamecube. It has some internal flash memory, with the option to expand it with an SD card or an external hard disk drive.
And on to the new controller, which looks like this.
It has a 6.2 inch touch screen that supports up to 1080p. It has to circle pads. Not anolog sticks unfortunetly. It has a rechargeable battery, accelerometer, gyroscope, rumble function, front-facing camera, a microphone, and speakers.
This looks like it is turning out to be a great console. But some things Nintendo needs to stop overlooking small things that make a difference. One would be that the controller still doesn't have anolog sticks *facepalm*. And the fact that they barely put any memory in the console to start with. They should like PS3 did at launch and have different consoles with different storage amounts. so that the people pressed for money could still get the console.
I also read an article that mentioned that the Wii U was still not going to come with a structured online system like Xbox Live and the Playstation Network. *If* the Wii U does flop in sales, I believe this will be the primary reason.
No structured online? grah. No Analog Sticks? eh... survivable.
If it can pull of its third-party titles well and stay away from the slew of horrendous titles the Wii was plagued with, combined with the 1st party half-success the Wii had (Other M really left a bad scar on my face =_=*)
I'm looking forward to this one, combined with Nintendo saying the console won't destroy your wallet, I might just pick this one up on launch day.
Ah, thanks for clearing that up. It looks pretty unique, like the Wii was when it was first launched, but it dosen't seem like it's gonna be my kind of console. I'll have to see what it's like when it comes out I guess.
