I prefer fallout, but it's pretty hard to compare a game set in the medieval time, with a game with a post-apocalyptic setting, but yeah, I choose Fallout.
Although I'm for Fallout, graphics don't mean a thing.

I'd check out Oblivion. It's Fallout in medieval times. It's even made by the same company that made Fallout.
But since I've never played Elder Scrolls (yeah, there's a lot of massive titles I haven't played), so I'm going with Fallout. I love the whole nuclear holocaust setting and I love being able to choose from being a complete jerk shooting people in the face, or a little goody goody helping everybody. And you don't have to be one or the other and you don't have to be completely evil or completely good.
Elder Scrolls all the way. I really like Fallout but the Elder Scrolls games seem better to me. I really like casting spells and stuff, so that's kinda why I think it's better. ES games seem a lot larger too, with more stuff you can do.
