Anyone else heard of Spotify? It's basically something where you can listen to a lot of music, create playlists and such. Similar to iTunes, but the music on Spotify is free and there's a lot music on it, millions of tracks.

It wasn't available for the US for a while now, I believe it got here about two-three weeks ago. I signed up for it, got my invite, downloaded it and it's great. It's nice to be able to create playlists for the music I listen to and being able to access them whenever I want to. It's similar to YouTube, in a way. You search songs and it pops up with a few matching the words, but I think Spotify is better because it's neater - the playlists, searches, and all around better.

I'm using the free version of it, it's good enough. But I've heard when you purchase it, it's better.

Well, in this thread talk about Spotify.

When you download the songs, can you move them to iTunes?

Spotify has been around for a couple years now, IIRC. It just hit the US like a month ago, though. Its nothing special really.

Not sure if you can download them. I just move the music around to my playlists.

Yep, KFK (another person from Sweden) told me about it two months ago.

Odd, you would think that since it was made there, you'd have it.

Eh, I like it. It's better than all the other music programs I've been using.

What's the difference between free and purchased versions?

Not sure. I think you just get more features, the commercials go away, and it's just overall better. Do you use Spotify, Dan?

I had it. But I didn't use it so much that I wanted to pay for it.

In Sweden, there were no ads on the Premium version and also better quality on the music. But it co$t.
