I heard you have to buy the game before you can go online. /sarcasm
Haha, just messing, I'm aware of Call of Duty Elite but no, online is not concerned with it. Things that are with Call of Duty: Elite include leaderboards, information like K/D ratios and etc.
Whilst I can rabble on about how stupid this is I think we could go to the Sticky'd CoD Thread for that - it's why it's there, after all :>
If the online isnt free then im definitely not playing it! i wont even buy MW3 if the online costs extra, i mean you already have to pay for Live and PSN
I've heard this question many, many, times, and here's my two cents. *drops two pennies*
Activision has decided to establish the microtransaction program that now roams the F2P landscape of today. What that means is that a player gets base content, and can pay to have some extras added into their game. That's fine, many players are just happy with the core experience, and microtransactions are usually just aesthetically appealing, like a hat in TF2 or an eye patch in EVE online.
What Activision is doing with MW3, however, is a crime against the online community. I don't like those arrogant folk, but there are some things you just don't do. Activision is making people pay a fee for seeing STATS, access a THEATER mode, among other things! Really? These are core parts of the game that they're selling? Halo never did this! Crysis never did this! Battlefield never did this! ALIENS VS PREDATOR NEVER DID THIS!
I just really want to see the source for all this.
So they are expanding "Call of Duty Elite" to PSN? I think it's stupid how they are making you pay to see your stats. I mean come on? What is this world coming to?
