News! Something this forums hasn't seen since I left.

What is your opinion on this? Should they be allowed to use the remains of deceased babies for an energy enhancement? Or is that just wrong?

I don't find a problem with it. It has the mother's consent and it's not like the dead baby will be put to good use. This way it's death helps others live. It sounds good to me.

Some of the pills that were tested were about 98% dried/ground human tissue including hair and nail remnants - that basically amounts to cannibalism.

@ Avorne

What exactly is wrong with cannibalism? I start every morning by eating an orphaned child. C'est delicious.

Morally it seems completely wrong and disgusting to me.
This must be the most morbid way of getting more energy I ever heard about.
I think anyone who (helps) producing these pills as well as anyone using them(providing they know what they are made off) should be locked in jail and be forced to learn some proper morals, because this shouldn't even exist its just that disgusting to me

It depend what you find wrong with cannabalism. Eating other people, or eating them against their will. Eating them against their will is like torture and you also eat entire body. This is just skin and consent is given. It's like how people chew their nails. only it's someone elses. Actually that is pretty gross... But if both people are okay with it then I see no need to stop them from doing it.

Why is this a question of morals? There are no "morals" involved. Baby died either from natural causes or from, dare I mention it here, abortion, and parts of it were harvested to create a pill that gives you some stamina. Consent was given by the mother and that was that.

Nothing "morally" wrong about it.

It's kinda like donating parts of your body for others when you die.

The moral part in it is the cannibalism.
I just think its disgusting to eat any human being or parts of it for that matter, unless you absolutely need to do it for survival.
And even then only if the human you are going to eat had already died

Well this one did die. If someone needed the pill then would it be okay?

Isn't there a better use of the dead babies? I find it utterly stupid to grind dead babies to dust only to give someone more energy. Does it at least have medicinal use, can it really help some people out of a trouble, or is it simply a macabre version of the energy drink? I don't really have that much of a moral problem with that, I just find it useless and stupid. I'm sure there's a better use of a dead baby's body. Before it is dried and grinded.
And I didn't find any notice in the article about whether these pills are effective or not; no study or result. Chinese people already grind fossils to dust in the illusionary belief that those "dragon bones" help them in any way. I kinda fear that the baby pill is something similar.

I doubt you would need an energy pill as last resort for survival.
And even if you did, I don't believe that there is no alternative thing of some sorts.
Plus considering all the things you need to do to make a pill out of these remains, I doubt you would have them in time if it were a true life or dead situation.

My form of acceptable cannibalism is more like an accident happens. Some people get stranded and can't leave.
Some other people died in said accident.
Now while the survivors wait to get rescued their food runs out and to prevent dying from starvation they eat the people that are already dead.

So no I don't think it will ever be acceptable to me to produce or use these pills.

Wait... That's ALL it does! I thought it did a little more then that. I sgree with hahiha then, we have caffinee if we want energy. There's definitly a better use for babies.

You all are so open minded.

Learn to accept other people's beliefs. The baby is already dead, so does it really matter where it goes? Mommy says okay, it goes away. No one hurt or harmed.
