I'm going to get games for my Xbox 360 later today or tomorrow, and I'd like some recommendations. I currently have jotted down GTA: IV complete, Halo 3, and Halo 3: ODST. I have about one hundred and fifty more dollars to spend for video games, so it'd be nice to get some recommendations.
I would suggest Pre ordering Cod mw3 cuz just the Spec ops looks the best. With the multiplayer they will have bots and ranks so i think the multiplayer will be beast. The campaign i played modern warfare 2 nd the campaign was beast so i bet modern warfare 3 campaign is better.
fable 3 gears of war call of duty modern warfare 2 however if you wait until September you will be able to get a whole list of amazing games that are coming out there's at least 10 games im buying from now up until Christmas
I adore the lack of grammar in this thread. Really showing those PS3 boys how mature we all are. =_=*
Let's see what we have here...
Dead Space and its sequel are 3rd person survival horror-action games that will scare you and thrill you
Mass Effect and its sequel are 3rd person action-oriented RPG's set in a sci-fi setting. Mass Effect 2 was made IGN's #1 Game from 2005-2011
The two Gears of War games are great fun, and if you like them enough, you have the third to look forward to in September.
Fable 2 and Fable 3 aren't the best of games, but unique and innovative RPG's with a hilarious sense of humor and some very cool character aesthetic capabilities.
Forza 3 is a very deep and very good racing game with excellent car models.
Halo: Reach is the 9 year culmination of Bungie-released Halo (excluding the console RTS Halo Wars) and is the best of the series. Halo Wars is a 2009 console RTS that is one of the few good console RTS'. Strong campaign, fun skirmish mode, and a small, dedicated online community keep this game alive and fun.
Crysis 2 is the 1st half 2011 GOTY, beating out Mortal Kombat 9 and Portal 2. It's a different kind of FPS, allowing customization of the Nanosuit to fit your combat needs. It's epic, and saved the FPS from the likes of cash-in games like Homefront.
The above mentioned Mortal Kombat was released earlier this year and is one of the best fighters of all time. On the subject of fighters, Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition is the 3rd rendition of the SF4 formula released back in 2009, and is apparently the best in the series so far. Marvel vs Capcom 3 is the sequel to fighting-game epic Marvel vs Capcom 2, but Ultimate MvC3 is about to be released, so wait for that if it interests you.
There's Mirror's Edge, again, not the best game out there, but creative and fun while it lasts, Bioshock is one of the best FPS' out there, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare revolutionized the FPS (the sequels stagnated it), and the Xbox Live Arcade has titles like DeathSpank, LIMBO, From Dust, Bastion, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, Castle Crashers, Portal: Still Alive (the original Portal), Trenched, Toy Soldiers, and much more.
We're in the beginning stages of a Golden Age of Gaming, Indie Developers are getting their titles out to the public to mass appeal, massively innovative titles such as Batman: Arkham City, Bioshock: Infinite, and Battlefield 3 are on the horizon, and Minecraft is going to launch in November.
Okay, I've gotten everything on my list, which included Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete, Red Dead Redemption, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Assassin's Creed I & II, Halo 3 and ODST. I'm having a great time with them, especially Splinter Cell: Conviction.
I've looked through this thread and have read all the responses/suggestions, they are noted and I'll look into those games in the near future when I feel like I should get more games.
I forgot about Dragon age 2. It's very good RPG. Many skills, good promote system of characters and many different monsters. You can dowload demo version in xbox live.
I would suggest Assassins Creed 2. It has amazing story and gameplay
Sure, but the story is even better if you also play Assassin's Creed first!
What nobody has mentioned Mass Effect 1&2? I realize it is better on the PC, but it is still a great game on any console! It has MASSIVE replay value, and a wonderful story line, and is an all round Epic action/Rpg.
I'd like to add Dantes Inferno. Nothing too special, more or less a God of War for Xbox if you ask me, although it is relatively unique and also has the most dim atmosphere you can get. People who will enjoy this type of hack-and-slash game will probably play it for more than a while, and once I started playing for a while it can actually get depressing, all the evil around you.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm a big fan of immersion, and this game can kill the fire that burns in you whenever your adrenline pumps - I find that quite amazing.
Okay, stopping with the phrases - it was a dragon at the end of the expansion pack, a returned and most evil villain with... a cool mask, honestly.
Also, Gorillababy, hell to the yes with Mass Effect. I've played both, they're both awesome - the gameplay isn't entirely the best thing, and I can see it being played decently by Console.
Get Mass Effect II. :P
And learn from these darn games. Fable I taught me a large deal about morality and Mass Effect should show you how well oration can benefit you and others. 2 Examples right there.
HA! Thanks for the laugh. I own the game and in the beginning it was awesome only few were complete noobs and camped every second of the game... now it is like I can't get 2 steps forward without get shot from a corner. Just get Halo: Reach, it is 100% skill based.
