@ranazzi. actually, @everyone. Apologies. After a lot of testing on various machines, I have come to realise that the difficulty of this game varies IMMENSELY between differing platforms. For example: Normal difficulty, On first boss level, using a mist tower on the tree above the first path split: On my main pc running FireFox in Win7, out of a counted 100 attempts, only 5 times did the tower kill all the snakes in the first wave. On my older box, running IE6 in Xp, the same tower layout has so far wiped the first wave in 18 of 20 attempts.
The game engine obviously does not handle all machines, all browsers, equally.
Hey guys. I just finally passed the level and was having the same problems you were. Here's how I did it:
Use the pet that refills mana. I have every point in the "I Love Gold" skill. Start out placing a ice trap near the corner at the end of the level so your mana can start to refill. Place a Mist tower at the corner. Go to the start of the level and lay a poison trap for the first wave. If you're lucky, the trap will kill all of them, but most likely, you'll have one left. Don't skip forward the waves, so you can gain more mana. Use this mana to place ice traps in front of your mist tower. Use whatever money you get from the first wave to build more towers. I think I got lucky and after the first wave, I had 220, so I built a boulder and a spear tower at that corner. As the boss comes, just start putting out as many ice traps as possible.
I don't know if this will help but I've been playing this boss level for 2 day already just to find out that my younger brother by accident found a way to get pass this boss. This might be a flaw in the game or others may say "BUG". I Know cheating is bad, But I just want to help other players get pass this boss. Its up to you if you want to over use this.
Before starting, open new tabs in your browser. When defending for the boss wait for it to get in range of your towers then go to the other tabs in your browser. For some reason the boss will move very slow while your towers fire at at its normal rate.
note: If you return to the tab where your game is, the speed of the boss will go back to normal.
illusiefier: if you put 1 in starting mana and 4 in gold, build a misting tower on the first corner and call in the first wave, that tower can often kill the entire wave. now place the three ice traps (40+5 = 3*15) and hope you got a gem (if so put it in the tower) thoguh without the mana pet it requires the luck of 1 gem dropping I did it with the pet that frightens the flyers this way. once the boss is out of range of your tower sell it run along the other path to the corner nearest the crystal and start building, another misting tower there did it for me. having the boss take the right path and the first wave needing to drop a gem is a hassle, so i dont like it, but even without the mana pet you can do it.
I have the same problem but my difficult level is HARD. That's no comparison to normal. Crazy I've tried it so often... the bug is unbeatable... has anybody a tip for me?
I have this problem too. I enjoy the game and had no problem defeating the boss on normal but I am finding it impossible on hard and I cannot find anyone (have looked on Google) who has done this. I also find the inconsistencies extremely frustrating eg I play the level once and kill all snakes on first blast of mist tower but next time I miss one. Almost all the time I miss one. The other thing is the fact that I don't get the same amount of money from my kills eg one time I may get 172 gold for killing all snakes and another I get 128 gold - the difference is vast. I just want to get past this level so I can enjoy the rest of the game. I tried the above cheat/bug but that didn't work for me.I have got it down to the bug needing one more hit to kill (twice) but that was when the snakes gave me 200+ gold and a gem (about 1 in 50 times). Can anyone help please?
I tried a couple more times using the cheat/bug and it did work - just. I had 2 gold and 3 trapper skills. I put the mist tower at the start. It killed all the snakes which gave me 172 gold. I also got lightning gem which I put in mist tower. I put poison trap at very start and three ice traps in a row below the mist tower. I switched to a different tab as soon as the mist tower started spraying. I waited until I could no longer hear mist tower then switched back to game, sold the tower and made another near end. Again, once the first spray started I switched tabs until the creature died. Thanks for that. It means I can play the rest on hard now. I would say that I don't feel bad about cheating this way because I feel that there should be a consistent way to win every time and I have yet to see anyone beating on hard. I would still like to know if someone has managed it though and how. Thanks again.
@wizardryuk and napkin 909: Ohhh my god I finally passed the stage ^^ I thank you so much. Now the game can begin. After more than 30 tries... The Cheat/Bug functioned
There seems to be some kind of bug in this level (beside the boss ). After trying it several times on the Hard difficulty, I started the game over to choose another pet and train other skills. And when I came to this level, there were 6 waves of monsters instead of 2! Of course, this time I earned more money, built more towers and defeated the boss. So starting all over can be a solution as well
Normal 4 Trapper 1 Gem Smith mist tower Spear Tower I kept replaying until I got two gems and put one on each tower, also I did not build the spear tower until I knew which side it was going so I could get one or two more hits in. I used four ice traps in front of the mist tower. I built my towers in the end by the crystal.
