From the increasing popularity of the Call of Duty Games: What is your opinion about the CoD series? Expectations for the new release? Favorite game of the series?
Ask me this in 2007, I declare hatred for "Call of Noobie 4 N00BZ, Modern Gay-F*ck-Stupid" and play more Halo 3. Ask me, now, I say I hit my past self, admit CoD 4 was one of the 3 great FPS' of 2007, and shake my head at the stagnation of the series so far.
I expect the same, maybe a bit better, since its Infinity Ward. Well, it's Infinity Ward's skeleton, with all the important organs walked off after the lawsuit and made (the most ironically named company ever) Respawn Entertainment under EA. I also fear MW3 because of Raven's hand and arm in the project (see Wolfenstien 2009) and the aforementioned lack of IW talent.
My fav game in the CoD series? CoD 2/4. CoD 4 revolutionized the series and was so much fun to play, but since I'm an achievement hunter, I played through CoD 2 on Veteran to get all the achievements. When a game is put in its most extreme setting (hardest difficulty) you really see the faults in a game. CoD 2 barely revealed any faults.
