Ray Stevens and his music are an American treasure. He's funny, insightful, creative, and he can roast someone and leave them laughing over it. His humor songs are hilariously off the wall assessments of common everyday life and uncommon imaginative scenarios, and his political songs are pointed commentaries on current events and what needs to be done to preserve America. Who else could make a song about the Obamacare debate yet also have one about Teenage Mutant Kung-Fu Chickens?

Ray Stevens is still cranking out new music? I had no idea that the guy who released "Gitarzan" over 40 years ago was still creating new music.
I have only heard a few of his songs, all of which were from the 60's/70's, and so far I haven't come across one I didn't find somewhat entertaining. I wouldn't consider myself to be a "fan", but I do enjoy hearing his music when it happens to play.
