They are very overrated, I can't stand "Nu-Metal" or whatever you classify them as, but Avenged Sevenfold is an okay band. My favorite song by them is Nightmare, and I don't care for them much at all.
Their new stuff is okay, but their older stuff was better. I've never been that big of a Avenge Sevenfold fan, but they just don't interest me anymore. I don't really have a favorite song, but I did like their earlier albums.

The best part about them is that their fans aren't like most hardcore Slipknot fans. meaning that they don't say that A7x is the most brutal band in the world and they don't consider A7x to be Death Metal, which really grinds my gears.

You know what really grinds my gears (Peter griffin). That most of the people I know are like. I am a huge A7x fan and then you watch their music device and it only has the newest 3 songs in them.
I used to like Avenged Sevenfold a lot, but i prefer their older releases a lot more. I went to see them in concert a couple of years ago when they were supporting machinehead (who i don't really like) and they ended up headlining which was boss. Not a band i'd listen to anymore though.
