Hello. I've only been on this forum for a short while, however I've noticed that, to an extent, the textile capabilities are pretty limited. On Kongregate, they implemented a Ruby based textile language called "Redcloth" into the forums and profiles. Redcloth allows a large range of textile features without overly complicating the site itself. For example, to make words bold, you only need to add an "*" to the ends of the area you want bolded. Whereas this is just an example, it allows a lot more textile capabilities by adding minor symbols in. Implementing this wouldn't need to get rid of the basic buttons that operate HTML code at the top... It could work alongside this in order to enhance user compatibility with the site. If you all could check out the official redcloth side ([url=http://redcloth.org/] to see if it'd be an interesting feature, it'd be appreciated. Many thanks.
I don't think they'll be making any changed to AG2 because the public beta for AG3 is the net stage of development. Do you mean throughout the site or simply in forums? If it's just for forums, Try here.
BB Code is what we simply use. It's as simple as highlighting the words you want linked, bolded, italic, etc and one click. As Shona said, no major updates on the site will be in effect due to the process of open beta.
