First, the 5.9 Earthquake, then one of the worst hurricanes: Hurricane Irene. Now Tropical storm Lee that has caused Destructible flooding. I think that U.S.A Will spend a lot of money for the hurricanes & the other disasters.
Or live somewhere like Colorado, where they "Never" hit.
As for the general topic...only because we make such a big deal about them do we notice them. They happen all the time, at the same rate, each and every year. Occasionally there's a big one, but on average it's the same.
Your point? I'm not trying to come off mean or anything but there really is nothing to talk about on this thread, you didn't even ask a question or say how others think of this. I don't think this thread will last long...
The US always has natural disasters, it just so happens that there were 3 in a short amount of time. Look at this if you think we have it bad right now
lolololol Irene doesn't even count as a hurricane, it was technically a 'tropical storm'.
No, Irene was a hurricane during both of its landfalls. It immediately weakened to a storm after its second landfall, but it had hurricane-force winds for a long time. So I think it does count as a hurricane, just not an awful one.
JAPAN JUST HAD A 9.7 AND IT ALMOST DESTROYED MY HOUSE!
Wasn't that on March 11? Almost half a year ago?
I think there are always disasters happening somewhere, and they just seem to be happening more often (news, more people, etc.).
TyphoonTalas has paid a visit to Japan on sunday, killing a few people on the way (there are two links). If anyone, I think it's the Japanese who can cry out against nature, not America.......
