Halo and Call of Duty have two totally different types of gameplay, making any competition between the quality of their respective gameplays against each other very inaccurate. They occupy different niches, making comparison with legitimate points difficult.
That being said, Call of Duty and Halo do everything excellently, excluding story, where Halo edges above CoD. I mean, when you have books upon books of extra lore in your series, that's when you have a deep and compelling universe threaded into an epic story.
