Best Prog. Rock band out there, in my humble opinion!

What are your favorite albums of their's? Mine is probably Power Windows or Counterparts.

i am such a huge fan of rush, this summer i literally took an hour out of almost every day just to listen to rush.

one of the most talented bands of all time. neil peart is the greatest drummer of all time, geddy lee top 5, and alex is one of the most underrated guitarists ever. such an amazing band and one of my main insperations in my playing

I love Rush. I would love to be able to play bass as well as Geddy Lee, let alone be able to switch between keys and bass, while singing. I agree with Delos that Alex Lifeson is incredibly underrated. And Neil Pert, greatest drummer of all time.
As for songs and albums, at this point, I'm in love with 2112, just because of the song itself. I really want to find Moving Pictures as well. My fav songs by them are 2112 and Bastille Day.

I also wouldn't call myself a fan, but i admire their talent. They're an amazing group.

Although thoughts on leading vocals: Geddy lee or Jeff jones, who was better? :P

geddy lee didnt push his vocals as hard as jeff jones. some people say that the reason why they dont like rush is because of geddys voice, well then they would hate anything from jeff jones cause that guy pushes it harder then geddy lee any day.

my favorite album is probably the hemispheres album, la ville strangiato is my favorite song from them. then in a close second probably permanent waves

Jeff Jones was by far a better vocalist, but Geddy wasn't bad. Far from bad actually >.>

Theyre more than progressive, they have a semi metal thing sometimes, a kinda technoish thing others, and a classic rock usually. I'm a fan

I'm not very knowledgable about Rush as far as albums but I love their music.

I'm not really a huge fan of Rush like delossantosj is and I really like some of their songs a lot, but I've had the privilidge to see them perform live in 'Ahoy - Rotterdam' a few months back and all I can say is 'even people who've never heard of the band and can enjoy progressive rock music, should definitely go see them! They are a killer live band!!' That should count for something... =D
